The Indian Princely States Online Legal History Archive (IPSOLHA) is a digital humanities initiative to collate, compile, and make accessible digital and analog resources for studying the legal history of the Indian Princely States.
As Principal Investigator for this grant-funded project, I was responsible for IPSOLHA's design and development during the pilot phase (2021–2023).
2022–2024
As South Asia Digital Librarian at the Center for Research Libraries, I managed the South Asia Open Archives—a collaborative, member-driven initiative to build an openly accessible online collection of primary sources for researching, teaching, and learning about South Asia. In this role, I was responsible for coordinating and overseeing digitization projects, publicizing and promoting new additions to the collection, and fulfilling the initiative's administrative needs. After stepping down from this full-time position in July 2023, I continued to provide administrative and logistical support to SAOA until early 2024.
2019–present
As book review essay editor, I work with authors to develop, organize, and publish review essays showcasing new trends and recent developments in the fields of global, imperial, and transnational history for publication in the well-regarded journal Itinerario. If you are interested in publishing a review essay, please write to me with a brief pitch and short list of potential books.
2020–2023
As coordinator for the "Conversations on South Asia" series at Dartmouth College, I hosted monthly webinars featuring new books in South Asian studies. This interdisciplinary webinar series brought authors together with discussants from within and beyond South Asian studies to discuss their recent publications.
2018–2023
As an at-large member of the Board of Trustees for the American Institute of Pakistan Studies (AIPS), I support the organization's efforts to promote research, teaching, and scholarship related to Pakistan. I chaired the AIPS nominating committee in 2018–2019 and have also served as a member of the AIPS Book Prize Committee.
